Key Strategy Takeaways

  • NoxuTFT’s October 2 Patch 18.3b snapshot labels Executioner Malphite A tier and reports a 4.29 average placement and 54.7% top-four rate across its ranked sample; these are not TFTFans results.
  • The eight-unit reference board is Kennen, Malphite, Soraka, Zyra, Amumu, Azir, Fiddlesticks, and Yorick.
  • Complete a frontline item for Malphite first; then distribute AP and utility items to Soraka and Zyra according to your components.
  • This is a Fast 8 stabilization plan, not the Level 7 Flora Azir slow-roll board; roll for a playable frontline and carries rather than waiting for every three-star.

Is Executioner Malphite good in TFT Patch 18.3b?

Executioner Malphite is a Set 18 Fast 8 composition built around a durable Malphite frontline and a backline that can finish fights. NoxuTFT’s live comp page labeled it A tier on October 2, 2026, reporting a 4.29 average placement, 54.7% top-four rate, and 11.5% win rate across roughly 990,000 ranked games in its Patch 18.3b dataset.

Those numbers describe NoxuTFT’s sample and composition definition. They are not TFTFans data, and the tier label is not a promise for your lobby. Our TFT stats guide explains why sample, patch, and board definition matter when reading a ranking.

Executioner Malphite board and items

The eight-unit reference board is Kennen, Malphite, Soraka, Zyra, Amumu, Azir, Fiddlesticks, and Yorick. NoxuTFT’s displayed trait package includes Summoner 3, Flora Fatalis 2, Executioner 3, Inferno 2, Blackthorn 2, and Juggernaut 2.

SorakaAP carryBlue Buff, Hextech Gunblade, Rabadon’s Deathcap
ZyraSecondary damage and Executioner breakpointExecutioner Emblem, Spear of Shojin, Void Staff

If you cannot complete the full ideal set, prioritize the item that solves the immediate board problem. The current NoxuTFT guide says Malphite gets the first completed item when components are tight. A strong tank item on time is more useful than a perfect three-item plan that arrives after you have lost too much health.

Fast 8 leveling plan

This composition saves through Stage 3, then rolls at Level 8 for its four-cost core. NoxuTFT’s observed winning-game pacing is roughly Level 7 around 4-1 and Level 8 around 4-2, with about 30 gold left to roll. Treat that as a reference rhythm: a high-health win streak can level earlier, while a weak board may need to spend sooner.

Stage 2: build a stable opener

Use upgraded units and traits that can hold your items. Preserve a streak when it is realistic, but do not sacrifice the whole board to maintain a theoretical economy plan. Keep components flexible until you know whether your first useful upgrades point toward this AP-heavy board.

Stage 3: protect health and economy

Level toward 6 and improve the board when a fight is likely to cost too much health. Scout who is holding Malphite, Soraka, and Zyra. If the important four-cost units are heavily contested, you may still play toward a similar trait shell, but do not roll blindly for copies that are no longer available.

Stage 4: roll to stabilize at Level 8

Reach Level 8 when your economy and health allow it, then roll until you have a frontline that survives and enough carry damage to stop a losing streak. A two-star Malphite with completed tank items can be the practical stabilization point; do not assume every game will produce a three-star four-cost carry.

Once the board is stable, rebuild gold and consider Level 9 for a high-impact upgrade or a useful trait addition. Do not level up automatically if the current board is still losing every round.

Positioning and matchup adjustments

Put Malphite in the frontline where he can take the opening pressure, then scout and shift him toward the opponent’s most dangerous side. Avoid lining every melee unit up into the same high-damage corner if you can split the initial focus. Keep Soraka and Zyra protected from direct access, and move them when an opponent’s assassins, hooks, or long-range abilities threaten the same backline hexes.

NoxuTFT’s current matchup panel shows that Flora Fatalis Azir and Juggernaut Zyra boards are among the opponents against which this line performs worse than its overall baseline. That is a prompt to scout and position carefully, not proof that one matchup is unwinnable.

When should you pivot?

Stay flexible if you reach Stage 4 without enough health to roll safely, have no usable frontline items, or cannot find the main units after a meaningful roll-down. Keep the items on their strongest current holders and move toward a board that uses the upgrades you already own. If you instead have the early pairs and economy for a reroll game, compare this plan with Flora Azir Reroll; that line slows down at Level 7 and has different carry roles.

Executioner Malphite FAQ

What items should Malphite hold?

The current reference build is Crownguard, Gargoyle Stoneplate, and Warmog’s Armor. Build a useful frontline item as soon as it helps stabilize rather than waiting for all three exact components.

When do I level to 8?

The current data guide’s reference timing is around Stage 4-2, after Level 7 near 4-1. Adjust that pace to your health, streak, economy, and the lobby’s strength.

Do I need three-star Malphite, Soraka, and Zyra?

No. Those stars appear on some high-performing boards in third-party data, but the line is presented as Fast 8. Do not spend down for several four-cost three-stars unless your game has unusually favorable copies and enough time and health.

Are the 18.3b stats from TFTFans?

No. The current sample and tier rating cited here come from NoxuTFT, checked October 2, 2026. Results vary by data source and patch window.
