Key Strategy Takeaways

  • LeBlanc is a two-cost Elderwood / Spellweaver with a 0/40 mana bar, seven mana from Magic Caster attacks, and two Mana Regen.
  • Blue Buff had a 4.02 average placement across 20,468 LeBlanc games in the October 5 Patch 18.3 sample; that is an association, not proof of a universal best item.
  • A 3-star result performed best in the cited star-level split, but only reroll when your copies, contesting, health, and economy justify it.
  • LeBlanc also fits existing Veigar and Elderwood lines; this page does not claim a new full-composition ranking.

What is the best LeBlanc TFT build in Set 18?

LeBlanc is a two-cost Elderwood / Spellweaver who wants useful casts and a board that keeps her safe. The current build decision is not simply “three AP items”: her ability deals magic damage, her caster attacks grant mana, and Set 18's strongest-item sample varies meaningfully by choice.

This guide uses the Patch 18.3 champion sample updated October 5, 2026. TFT Codex recorded 403,877 Diamond+ games with LeBlanc at that snapshot. Her ability, Mirror Image, launches a mirror at the current target and also damages adjacent enemies; the passive may create a copy of an ally after player combat. Verify exact live tooltips after a patch.

LeBlanc items: a dated Set 18 sample

ItemLeBlanc games with itemAverage placementTop 4 rate

Morellonomicon40,2674.3851.7%
Void Staff81,9854.4550.5%

This is not a controlled test of seven items on identical boards. Blue Buff appears especially promising in this sample; Void Staff is much more common but has a worse observed average. A high pick rate is not the same as a higher item effect. Use the numbers to decide what to investigate, then match the item to your components and the combat problem in front of you.

Treat these as item jobs, not a mandatory three-slot package. Use the item matrix for recipes and the TFT BiS guide for the broader component decision.

Should you reroll LeBlanc to three stars?

The same October 5 sample reports a 3-star LeBlanc average placement of 3.76 across 199,619 games, compared with 5.01 at two stars across 166,993 games. That does not mean every LeBlanc board should slow-roll: games that reach three stars have already selected into a very different situation, and the number does not isolate the causal value of the upgrade.

Consider a reroll only when several copies arrive naturally, opponents are not heavily contesting her, your health can absorb the delay, and your items can be used by the rest of the board if the shop misses. If you are short on copies or need to level for a stronger frontline, keep LeBlanc as a trait holder instead of spending every gold chasing the star-up.

Where LeBlanc fits in Set 18

LeBlanc appears in the existing Kill, Stack, Repeat Veigar guide as a supporting unit and in the Elderwood Ezreal reference board. Those guides own their full composition plans. Do not mistake her presence in either roster for evidence that those are LeBlanc reroll comps.

Her four-hex range lets you position away from the first wave of melee pressure while keeping a useful target. Re-scout after every opponent swap: protect her, but do not leave the damage dealers she needs to reach behind an untouchable frontline.

LeBlanc TFT FAQ

Is LeBlanc a carry or a support in TFT Set 18?

She can contribute spell damage and her post-combat passive, but her job depends on her star level, items, traits, and the board around her. A two-star LeBlanc used for a trait breakpoint is not the same plan as a reroll carry.

Is Blue Buff LeBlanc's best-in-slot item?

It had the lowest average placement among the listed widely sampled craftables in this dated dataset, but that does not prove it wins every item comparison. The table is observational and should be checked against your holder, components, and current patch.

Should I force three-star LeBlanc?

No. Treat the star-level table as a signal, not a reroll instruction. Copies, contesting, health, and the opportunity cost of delaying levels decide whether to commit.
